David Jones
Regular biography
David Jones is a Fellow at The Australian National University's Research School of Biology, where he works in the Department of BIO. His research focuses on protein trafficking, plant physiology, signal transduction, gene expression, genome structure and regulation, receptors and membrane biology, plant cell and molecular biology, plant pathology, and genetics. He has contributed to the isolation and functional characterisation of pathogen effectors and has been involved in several research grants, including projects on disease resistance in tomato and flax. His work includes the identification of disease resistance genes and the study of plant defence mechanisms against pathogens.
