Michael McHenry

Michael McHenry is a Courtesy Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University's Department of PHY. His research spans advanced materials processing and manufacturing, including aerospace engineering, biomaterials, ceramics, electric power systems, magnetic materials, and nanotechnology. He has directed a MURI on high temperature magnetic materials for aircraft power applications and led an ARPA-E program on magnetic materials for power electronics. McHenry has over 350 publications with more than 11,000 citations and co-authored the text 'Structure of Materials.' He has also contributed to numerous conferences and has five patents in the field.
