Regular biography
Brendan Mullan is the Director of Undergraduate Laboratories and an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Physics at Carnegie Mellon University. His role involves guiding the evolution of experimental physics courses through data-informed practices and physics education research. He has developed and taught a variety of astronomy, astrobiology, and physics courses at multiple universities, incorporating innovative elements such as video games and narrative storytelling. Mullan is also recognized as a science communicator and explorer with National Geographic, having received awards from NASA, the British Council, and the Creative Nonfiction Foundation.
