Regular biography
David Anderson is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Physics at Carnegie Mellon University. He is involved in the development of experimental physics laboratory courses, including a course for students in the Health-Professions program that connects fundamental physics laboratory skills to life-science applications. He also teaches Physics I for Engineering Students, utilizing research-based methodologies to provide a foundation for applying physics principles to technical applications. Anderson runs a yearly training session for Graduate Teaching Assistants to prepare them to be effective recitation leaders and teachers. His research includes non-equilibrium electron transport and polar-optical phonon limited transport in semiconductor heterostructures.
