Regular biography
Irina Gheorghiciuc is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University. Her research interests include algebraic and enumerative combinatorics, specifically combinatorics on words, q-analogs, and lattice paths statistics. She is currently working on problems related to Super Catalan Numbers and Polynomials. Dr. Gheorghiciuc has taught a variety of undergraduate courses at CMU, including Concepts of Mathematics, Combinatorics, Differential Equations, Matrix Algebra, and Algebraic Structures. Her publications include work on subword complexity and correlation polynomials.
