Ming Joo (MJ) Koh is a Dean's Chair Professor and Deputy Head of Research (Chemistry) at the National University of Singapore. His research focuses on Base Metal Catalysis, Radical Cross-Coupling, Carbohydrate Chemistry, and Molecular Editing. His work explores catalytic mechanisms for cross-coupling reactions, particularly in Z-selective olefin metathesis and the synthesis of complex organic molecules. He has developed methodologies for the direct functionalization of native sugars and the stereoselective synthesis of C-glycosides.
