Michael P. Hendrich

Michael P. Hendrich is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Carnegie Mellon University. His research focuses on bioinorganic, biophysical, and spectroscopy, with an emphasis on metalloproteins and their roles in biological processes. His work explores enzymatic mechanisms and the catalytic functions of metalloenzymes, utilizing advanced spectroscopic techniques such as EPR, ENDOR, Mössbauer spectroscopy, and SQUID magnetization. Hendrich has developed specialized instrumentation and software to study metalloproteins and metal complexes. He has held appointments at Carnegie Mellon University since 2008, including roles as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor.
