Regular biography
Gabriel Gomes is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering in the Department of Chemistry at Carnegie Mellon University. His research focuses on catalysis and reaction design, artificial intelligence and computer science for chemistry, organic materials, automated chemical synthesis, and physical organic chemistry. Gomes holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Florida State University and completed postdoctoral work at the University of Toronto. His work includes publications in top-tier journals such as the Journal of American Chemical Society and Nature Chemistry. He maintains an active research profile through his website and is affiliated with the Mellon College of Science.
