Regular biography
The Department of Economics at Seoul National University, established in 1946, has a long history of excellence in teaching and research. It merged with the Department of International Economics in 1995 to form the current Economics Department. The department offers undergraduate, master's, and Ph.D. programs in economics and has 38 faculty members specializing in various fields such as economic theory, econometrics, and international economics. The department is also home to the Seoul Journal of Economics and the Economic Journal. The department and its sister institute, the Institute of Economic Research, are set to move to a new building in Fall 2024.
