Dr Richard Batley is a Fellow in the Experimental Physics Division at CERN and affiliated with the University of Cambridge's Department of Physics. His research focuses on experimental tests of the electroweak sector of the Standard Model of particle physics, particularly through precision measurements of gauge boson production rates. He is a member of the ATLAS Collaboration at the Large Hadron Collider, contributing to studies of the Higgs boson and related phenomena. Prior to his current role, he worked on several CERN-based experiments, including NA48, OPAL, and UA1.
