Regular biography
Davood Shahrjerdi is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at New York University, where he also serves as Director of the Nanofabrication Cleanroom and a faculty scientist at NYU Wireless. His research focuses on the development of new electronic materials and devices for nano-engineered hybrid integrated systems. Shahrjerdi's work has been published in journals such as Applied Physics Letters and IEEE Electron Device Meeting, and he has authored over 100 papers and holds more than 100 patents. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and has received several awards, including the IBM Master Inventor title and the Journal of Electronic Materials best paper award. His research includes studies on superconducting materials and quantum devices, with recent contributions involving substrate design for superconducting vanadium silicide films and physical patterning techniques for quantum hardware.
