Wenqi Cui

Dr. Wenqi Cui is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at New York University. She will join the department as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Fall 2025. Dr. Cui is currently a Postdoctoral Scholar at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Washington, master’s degree from Zhejiang University, and bachelor’s degrees from Southeast University. Her research interests include the intersection of control, machine learning, and optimization for sustainable power and energy systems, with applications in cyber-physical systems. Her research group focuses on developing fundamental theories and algorithms to address challenges in decarbonizing energy systems and providing safe, robust AI-based solutions for real-world applications.
