Ramesh Karri

Ramesh Karri is a Professor and Chair of Electrical and Computer Engineering at New York University. He co-founded the NYU Center for Cybersecurity in 2009 and co-directed it from 2016 to 2024. His research focuses on hardware cybersecurity, including trustworthy ICs, processors, and cyber-physical systems. He has published over 350 articles and received numerous awards, including IEEE Fellow status and the National Science Foundation CAREER award. Karri is also the Editor in Chief of the ACM Journal of Emerging Computing Technologies and has held leadership roles in various IEEE conferences. He founded the Embedded Systems Challenge and is affiliated with the NYU Center for Advanced Technology in Telecommunications.
