Regular biography
Ilan Juran is a Professor at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, Department of Civil and Urban Engineering. His research focuses on metropolitan water systems and security management in urban settings, renewable circular chain management, and climate impact challenges. He has held leadership roles in various academic and research institutions, including the Geotechnical Research Center of the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the Polytechnic University. Prof. Juran has been involved in numerous research projects funded by federal agencies and international organizations, contributing to urban infrastructure development and sustainable water management. He is also the co-founder and Executive Director of the W-SMART Association, an international alliance for sustainable water security.
