Nikhil Gupta

Nikhil Gupta is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. He is also affiliated with the Department of Civil, Urban and Environmental Engineering and the Center for Cybersecurity. His research interests include cybersecurity in manufacturing, additive manufacturing of complex and composite materials, materials characterization methods under dynamic loading, and sensing of damage and structural health monitoring. Prof. Gupta is an elected Fellow of ASM International and American Society for Composites and a Senior Member of IEEE. He has received several awards, including the 2020 Brimacombe Medalist Award from TMS and the 2013-ASM-International Silver Medal. He has also served in various editorial and leadership roles within professional societies.
