Regular biography
Daniel Vignon is an Assistant Professor in the Civil, Urban, and Environmental Engineering Department at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. His research focuses on transportation economics, urban and emerging transportation systems, operations research, and smart infrastructure systems. Dr. Vignon's work examines the design, regulation, and operation of emerging mobility services and smart infrastructure systems, analyzing their interactions with markets and their impact on social welfare. His research includes studies on ride-hailing regulations, autonomous vehicles, and infrastructure investment, with a particular emphasis on how policy changes influence transportation system performance. He is affiliated with the C2SMARTER research center, a U.S. Department of Transportation Tier 1 University Transportation Center.
