Mohamad Awada is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at New York University Tandon School of Engineering. His research focuses on integrating sensing systems, immersive technologies, and artificial intelligence to enhance human livability by optimizing the design and operation of built environments. Awada leads the Smart Innovations in Built Environment Research (SiBER) Lab, where he explores the integration of AI, machine learning, and digital technologies. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Southern California, along with master's degrees in Computer Science and Civil Engineering from USC and the American University of Beirut, and a bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the American University of Beirut.
