Dr Handy Tan is a Lecturer in Finance at the UCL School of Management. He specialises in empirical financial modelling and forecasting, with a focus on maintaining a balance between theoretical aspects of econometrics and practical applications. Dr Tan has academic and professional experience in finance and accounting, having studied at the University of Southern California, University of St Andrews, and Essex University. He previously worked for KPMG and HSBC in roles related to auditing, risk management, and regulatory analysis. His research interests include the application of econometric models across various disciplines and the exploration of Large Language Models (LLMs) in finance.
