Regular biography
Fan Yang is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at UCL School of Management. She obtained a Ph.D. in marketing from the University of British Columbia (UBC), an M.Phil in Industrial Engineering and Logistics Management from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), and a B.Sc in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics from Sun Yat-Sen University. Her research interests include Causal Inference, Marketing Analytics, Digital Marketing, and Two-sided Markets, with methodological focus on Statistical Models, Bayesian and Econometrics, Machine Learning, and Structural Modeling. She has published in the Journal of Marketing Research, including a paper on addressing endogeneity using a two-stage copula generated regressor approach.
