Regular biography
Dr James Hickie is Associate Professor (Education) in Entrepreneurship at the UCL School of Management. He leads and oversees Entrepreneurship Education for the school, with teaching interests in entrepreneurship and innovation. His experience includes teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as programme direction. He has developed significant business engagement experience through consultancy projects, guest speaker programmes, student placements, and entrepreneur competitions. His research focuses on human capital and entrepreneurship, including innovative responses to the high street crisis. He has also contributed to media commentary on entrepreneurship and has published in journals such as Urban Studies and the Journal of Urban Affairs.
