Jen Rhymer

Jen Rhymer is an Assistant Professor in the Strategy and Entrepreneurship Group at the UCL School of Management. Her research focuses on the future of work, workspaces, and organizing, with an emphasis on collaboration in flexible work arrangements, technology integration, and organizational sustainability. Her work has been published in journals such as Administrative Science Quarterly and Academy of Management Review, and she has received awards including the Gerardine DeSanctis Dissertation Award and the AMR Best Paper Award. Rhymer previously served as a post-doctoral research scholar at Stanford University and earned her PhD from the University of Washington.

Jen Rhymer's research focuses on Organization Design, Distributed Work, Entrepreneurship, Collaboration, and the Future of Work. Her work explores how organizations can design effective collaboration across space and time, particularly in location-independent settings. She investigates the role of technology in shaping human-technology interactions and the implications for organizational agency. Her publications address challenges in managing distributed teams, resource interdependence in entrepreneurial ventures, and the impact of synthetic stakeholders on organizational decision-making. Rhymer's research also examines the technical and managerial aspects of impact detection in aerospace materials, highlighting interdisciplinary approaches to innovation and organizational resilience.
