Regular biography
Susan Smith is a Professor of Accounting at the UCL School of Management and serves as Deputy Director for Student Experience. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and holds a PhD in Accounting from the University of Sussex. Susan is a National Teaching Fellow (2022) and a Principal Fellow of Advance HE. She is also a member of the IFAC International Panel on Accountancy Education and the ICAEW Education and Training Board. She is the founder of the Accounting Streams project, which aims to innovate the accounting curriculum through digital-first open-access resources. Susan is currently Chair of the British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA) Committee of Departments of Accounting and Finance (CDAF) group and a member of the European Accounting Association (EAA) Education Committee.
