Regular biography
Dr Michael Jennings is a Lecturer in the School of Mathematics and Physics at The University of Queensland. His research interests include the transition from high school to university mathematics and the teaching and learning of first-year mathematics. Dr Jennings has extensive teaching experience and has focused on addressing specific problem areas such as algebra, calculus, and contextual understanding. He has developed innovative teaching resources, including the SmartAss system, and has received several teaching excellence awards. His work also involves mentoring new staff and fostering links between high school and university mathematics educators.
