Regular biography
Dr Xin Guo is a Senior Lecturer in Mathematical Data Science at the School of Mathematics and Physics, The University of Queensland. His research interests include statistical learning theory, mathematical data science, and their applications to artificial intelligence, immunological bioinformatics, systems biology, and computational social science. Dr Guo obtained his BSc degree in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics from Beijing Normal University in 2006, followed by MPhil and PhD degrees from City University of Hong Kong in 2008 and 2011, respectively. Prior to joining UQ in January 2022, he worked at Hong Kong Polytechnic University and held postdoctoral positions. His academic work has been published in numerous journals and conferences, contributing to the fields of statistics, probability, and data science.
