Regular biography
Gishan Dissanaike is a financial economist affiliated with the University of Cambridge, specifically within the Cambridge Judge Business School. He holds the Adam Smith Professorship of Corporate Governance and Finance and serves as Director of Studies in Management Studies at Trinity College. Additionally, he is a Fellow of Hughes Hall. His research interests include stock markets, corporate governance, behavioural finance, and emerging markets finance. Dissanaike has contributed to various academic journals and has been consulted by international corporations, investment banks, and regulatory agencies. He has held academic positions at the University of Cambridge, including University Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, and Reader, and has also served as a visiting faculty member at Cornell University.
