José Pedraza Ramirez is a Lecturer in Actuarial Science and Statistics within the Department of Mathematics at The University of Manchester. His research focuses on Lévy processes and their application to optimal stopping problems in Insurance Mathematics and Financial Mathematics. Prior to joining The University of Manchester, he served as a Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science at the University of Waterloo from September 2021 to August 2023. He completed his PhD program at the London School of Economics, supervised by Erik Baurdoux.
