Olatunji Johnson

Dr Olatunji Johnson is a Lecturer in Statistics at The University of Manchester, Department of Mathematics. His research focuses on the interface of statistics, epidemiology, and health informatics, with an emphasis on spatial statistics, public health, and environmental epidemiology. He has developed geostatistical methods for analyzing spatially aggregated data and has contributed to global public health by applying Model-based Geostatistical (MBG) methods to address challenges related to diseases such as COPD, malaria, and neglected tropical diseases. He is the author of the SDALGCP and MBGapp R packages and is actively seeking PhD students interested in spatial and spatio-temporal statistics with applications in global public health.
