Professor Haiyu Li is a Professor of Power System Dgtsn & Auto in the Department of Electrical Engineering at The University of Manchester. His research interests include Power systems digitisation and automation, with a focus on Smart Grid – active distribution network voltage control and digital technologies such as IEC61850 digital substation automation systems, cyber security, and resiliency. His work has contributed to the development of flexible and sustainable electric power systems, including the creation of new business opportunities for UK distribution network operators. He has published extensively in IEEE and IET journals and has been involved in several high-impact projects, including the Virtual Site Acceptance Testing and Training (VSATT) project and the IEC61850 Cyber Resilient Electrical Substation Technologies (CREST) project.
