Victor Levi is a Senior Lecturer in Power Systems within the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at The University of Manchester. His research interests include strategic and development planning of transmission and distribution networks, with a focus on low carbon technologies and 'smart solutions'. He has published two books on power system planning and computational methods in power engineering, along with over 80 papers in leading journals and conferences. Dr. Levi is a Senior Member of IEEE and has extensive experience in both industrial and academic settings. He rejoined The University of Manchester in 2013 after a period of industry work. His current research explores the dynamic impact of low carbon technologies on network reliability and optimal planning of distribution and transmission networks.
