Daniel Ka Chun So

Daniel Ka Chun So is a Professor of Communication Engineering in the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering at the University of Manchester. He joined the university in 2003 as a Lecturer and holds a PhD in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His research interests include green communications, Beyond 5G/6G networks, non-orthogonal multiple access, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, machine learning, and federated learning. He is also the Teaching and Learning Enhancement Lead and has held various leadership roles within the department. Prof So is a Chartered Engineer, a Senior Member of IEEE, and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
