Regular biography
Matteo Iacchetti is a Senior Lecturer in Electrical Engineering at The University of Manchester. His research focuses on advanced electric machines and drives, including power-dense machines, linear generators for energy harvesting, and generators for wind energy applications such as PMSGs and DFIGs. He is also involved in high-temperature superconducting machines and their integration into energy systems. Iacchetti is a Senior Member of IEEE and a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy. His work contributes to several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including affordable and clean energy, industry innovation, and climate action.
