Regular biography
Danielle George is a Professor of Radio Frequency Engineering and Vice Dean for Teaching, Learning and Students at The University of Manchester's Department of Electrical Engineering. Her research focuses on radio frequency engineering and microwave communications, with applications in aerospace, astronomy, and industrial sectors. She has contributed to major projects such as the Square Kilometer Array (SKA) and the Atacama Large Millimeter Array (ALMA). Her work includes the development of ultra-low noise receivers and broadband amplifiers for radio astronomy. She has received several awards, including the Royal Academy of Engineering Rooke Medal and the Royal Society Michael Faraday Medal. Professor George is also actively involved in public engagement and science communication.
