Richard Curry

Professor Richard Curry is a Professor of Advanced Electronic Materials at The University of Manchester, affiliated with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. His research focuses on photonic materials and devices, doped solid-state materials for quantum technologies, and nanoscale engineering. He has held various leadership roles, including Director of the Photon Science Institute and Associate Vice-President (Research & Innovation). Curry's academic journey includes a BSc in Theoretical Physics (1st class Hons) and a PhD in Luminescence characterisation of AlQ and ErQ, both from Queen Mary University of London.
