Regular biography
Dr. Subhasish Chakraborty is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering at The University of Manchester. His research focuses on aperiodic lattices applied to silicon nanophotonics, THz quantum cascade lasers, and graphene. He has led several EPSRC grants and contributed to significant advancements in terahertz technology, including the first integrated tunable graphene laser and electronically tunable THz-over-Fibre systems. His work is aligned with the 'Atoms to Devices' strand of the Henry Royce Institute. Dr. Chakraborty has also collaborated with the National Graphene Institute and is involved in projects integrating terahertz opto-plasmonic graphene chips with quantum cascade lasers.
