Emad Alsusa

Emad Alsusa is a Professor of Communications and Signal Processing in the Department of Electrical Engineering at The University of Manchester. His research focuses on advanced communication systems, particularly in the areas of Physical, MAC, and Network Layers. His work includes array signal detection, channel estimation, adaptive signal precoding, and interference management. He has authored over 270 publications and supervised more than 30 Ph.D. students. Alsusa is a Senior Member of the IEEE and a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy. He has held leadership roles in IEEE conferences and has contributed to various industrial telecommunications consortia. His research applications span cellular networks, the Internet of Things (IoT), and Powerline Communications.

Emad Alsusa is a researcher at the University of Manchester with expertise in Wireless Communications, Multicarrier Communications OFDM, 6G, IoT, and Radar. His work focuses on optimizing energy efficiency and resource allocation in heterogeneous networks, NOMA with SWIPT, and advanced communication architectures for future mobile systems. Alsusa has contributed to the development of dual-functional massive MIMO OFDM systems for communication and radar, as well as compressed CSI acquisition in FDD massive MIMO. His research also addresses physical layer security, spectrum sensing, and energy detection in cognitive radio systems, with a strong emphasis on IoT-based wireless sensor networks and energy harvesting techniques.
