Darren Willcox

Darren Willcox is a Lecturer in Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Manchester, affiliated with the Inorganic Chemistry Group. He obtained his MSci (Hons) in 2010 and PhD in 2014 from the University of Nottingham, supervised by Prof. S. Woodward. Following postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Cambridge and Cardiff University, he was appointed as a Lecturer at the University of Manchester in 2019. His research focuses on inorganic chemistry, with contributions to areas such as organoalanes, conjugate addition, and catalytic processes.

Darren Willcox is a researcher at the University of Manchester with a focus on catalytic organic chemistry. His work explores the development of novel catalytic systems for the synthesis of complex organic molecules, particularly through the use of transition metals, boranes, and frustrated Lewis pairs. His research interests include C–H functionalization, hydroboration, and carbonyl chemistry, with an emphasis on asymmetric catalysis and mechanistic studies.
