Alexander Romanov is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at The University of Manchester. His research focuses on materials chemistry, particularly in the development of carbene-metal-amide (CMA) materials for energy-efficient organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). He is one of the inventors of CMA materials supported by three patent applications. Romanov's work contributes to Sustainable Development Goals 3, 7, 9, and 12. He is a Royal Society University Research Fellow since January 2019, working on novel energy materials for optoelectronic applications.
