Regular biography
Andrew Regan is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Chemistry at The University of Manchester. His research focuses on organic chemistry, particularly the synthesis of biologically active compounds and the development of new synthetic methods. He has contributed to the synthesis of phosphinic acid analogues of anti-cancer agents and simplified analogues of macrocyclic antibiotics. Regan has supervised multiple PhD and MSc students and is currently involved in projects related to the synthesis of phosphinic acid analogues of anti-cancer agents and simplified analogues of erythromycin. His work aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 3, Good Health and Well-being.
