Carl Poree

Carl Poree is a Lecturer in Chemistry at The University of Manchester, where he leads laboratory teaching and oversees graduate teaching assistants. He holds a Master of Chemistry from Oxford University and a PhD in In Situ Diazomethane Generation and the Palladium-Catalysed Cyclopropanation of Alkenes from the University of Edinburgh. His research interests include catalysis and organic chemistry education. Carl is also Co-Chair of Chemistry Olympiad Ireland, where he mentors Team Ireland for the International Chemistry Olympiad.
