Louise Natrajan is a Reader in Chemistry at The University of Manchester, affiliated with the Inorganic Chemistry Group. Her research focuses on coordination chemistry and spectroscopy of the f-elements, particularly the chemistry and electronic properties of actinide ions in unusual oxidation states. She employs time-resolved luminescence and NMR spectroscopy to study solution structure, speciation, and disproportionation mechanisms in actinide complexes. Her work also explores luminescent probes for biomedical imaging and two-photon spectroscopy of platinum group metal-based dyes. Natrajan has been recognized for her contributions to nuclear and radiochemistry, including her role in the Leverhulme Trust Research Leadership Award and EPSRC Career Acceleration Fellowship.
