Michael Greaney

Michael Greaney is a Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Manchester, Department of Chemistry. His research focuses on developing new catalysis methods for improved synthesis, with principal themes including metal-free arylation strategies, transition metal catalyzed C-H activation, and chemicobiological catalysis for novel transformations. He directs the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Integrated Catalysis (iCAT) at the University of Manchester. His work contributes to Sustainable Development Goals 3 and 9. Greaney's research includes advancements in efficient chemical synthesis, green chemistry, and supramolecular chemistry.
