Neil Dixon

Neil Dixon is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at The University of Manchester. His research interests include synthetic biology, biosensors, cellular transport, and metabolic control, with a focus on applied areas such as genetically encoded biosensors, consolidated bioprocesses, and bioremediation of xenobiotics. His work aims to develop biological and process engineering approaches to support sustainable development and remediate contaminated environments. Dixon holds a MChem and PhD in Bioorganic Chemistry from the University of Leeds and has conducted post-doctoral research in Chemical Biology at the University of Manchester. His research group is supported by various funding bodies including BBSRC, EPSRC, and Innovate UK.
