Frederick Currell is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at The University of Manchester, where he serves as Director of the Dalton Cumbrian Facility. His research focuses on physical and chemical processes in heterogeneous radiation systems, particularly those involving water at interfaces, utilizing integrated computational modeling and automated experimentation. His work has contributed to advancements in radiation nano-dose enhancers and hydrogen generation from water on PuO2 surfaces. Current projects include radiation chemistry modeling, radiopharmaceutical manufacturing, and ion-beam-based vaccine production. His expertise aligns with Sustainable Development Goals 3, 7, 9, and 12.
