Regular biography
David Collison is a Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at The University of Manchester, Department of Chemistry. His research focuses on the relationship between molecular and electronic structures of metal centres in coordination chemistry, biology, and materials science, with an emphasis on understanding reactivity and microscopic properties of d- and f-block metal ions. His work incorporates a range of analytical and spectroscopic techniques, including X-ray diffraction, EPR spectroscopy, and electrochemical methods. His research contributes to several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including clean energy, climate action, and responsible consumption.
