Patrick Cai

Patrick Cai is a Chair in Synthetic Genomics at The University of Manchester, Department of Chemistry. His research focuses on synthetic genomics, chemical biology, and biological chemistry. Cai's work contributes to several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including Zero Hunger, Good Health and Well-being, and Climate Action. He is affiliated with the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology and has been involved in various research projects and collaborations. Cai has received several awards, including the Chancellor's Fellowship and the ERC Consolidator Award. He is also an associate faculty member of the Sanger Institute and has contributed to editorial work for several scientific journals.
