Regular biography
Lihong Zhang is a Lecturer in Project and Engineering Management at The University of Manchester, School of Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering. Her research focuses on Project and Innovation Management (PIM), particularly how PIM drives and shapes the ideation, development, and implementation of complex engineered systems (CES). Her work integrates elements such as Digital Transformation, Sustainable Design, AI and Machine Learning, and Model-based System Engineering. She is currently seeking collaborations to develop a 3D computer model for the Floating Resort Installation (FRI), a patent-pending system design concept. Zhang is also involved in various research programs, including KTP and IAA, and supervises PhD projects.
