Yong Wang

Yong Wang is a Professor of Structural Engineering in the Department of Civil Engineering and Management at The University of Manchester. His research interests include structural and fire engineering, steel and composite structures, fire protection materials and systems, and numerical modelling. He has contributed to various research projects and has led the Structural & Fire Engineering theme. Wang has worked at the Building Research Establishment and joined The University of Manchester in 1997. He is a Chartered Engineer, Fellow of the Institution of Structural Engineers, and a member of the UK's Higher Education Academy. His work aligns with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
