Meini Su

Meini Su is a Senior Lecturer in Structural Engineering at the Department of Civil Engineering and Management, The University of Manchester. She is also the Theme lead (Living and Infrastructures) at the Thomas Ashton Institute for Risk and Regulatory Research. She joined the university in November 2017 and previously served as an assistant professor at Shenzhen University, China. Her research interests include structural testing, numerical modelling, and the development of design guidance for FRP strengthened RC structures in marine environments, as well as steel and aluminium alloy structures. She has co-authored one textbook and published over 80 papers. She is a Chartered engineer with the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institution of Structural Engineers.

Meini SU is a researcher at The University of Manchester, focusing on structural engineering and materials science. SU also investigates the seismic performance of reinforced concrete structures post-fire and the application of corrosion protection techniques such as impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) and fiber-reinforced cementitious matrix (FRCM) composites. Additionally, SU examines the mechanical properties of carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) and their potential for strengthening and rehabilitation of concrete structures. Their research contributes to the development of sustainable and durable construction materials and methods.
