Carly McLachlan

Carly McLachlan is a Professor at The University of Manchester, affiliated with the Department of Civil Engineering. She serves as Director of Tyndall Manchester, an interdisciplinary team focused on policy-relevant climate change research. Her research interests include stakeholder engagement with energy and sustainability issues, city-level climate action, and the role of 'evidence' in public and policy contexts. She is also an Associate Director of the ESRC Centre for Climate Change and Social Transformation (CAST). Her work contributes to multiple United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to climate action, sustainable cities, and responsible consumption.
