Jaise Kuriakose is a Lecturer in Climate Change and Resilience at the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, School of Engineering, The University of Manchester. His research focuses on developing Net Zero energy systems resilient to climate change using a whole-systems approach. He employs quantitative and qualitative methods to explore socio-technological innovations in the energy sector, such as heat pumps, energy storage, and solar PV. Dr. Kuriakose teaches and oversees technical master’s dissertation projects across Civil, Mechanical, and Aerospace Engineering. His work has influenced over 250 local authorities, with five cities adopting net-zero targets. He is the Principal Investigator on the UKRI unlocking demand flexibility from heat pumps project and has contributed to research on climate risks to UK energy infrastructure.
